The back-end development team at Irvine Digital Media are a talented, multi-skilled bunch who work tirelessly to ensure any client website is built bug free and on time.
We look for passionate developers, with a good analytical approach and an in-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle. To be successful in this team, you’ll also have an understanding of the business perspective and how that relates to development activities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop new applications or make enhancements to existing ones according to project needs
- Involved in client meetings and calls to provide technical steer
- Utilise programming principles, tools and techniques to write application code
- Plan, coordinate, and execute project activities to ensure timely completion
- Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements
- Assist the project manager to highlight project risks and guide them technically to help plan projects
- Assist and mentor junior, support and intermediate developers
- Work with the project manager to assist in determining time and cost estimates for assigned projects
- Meet with clients and provide technical authority, explaining complex concepts in an easy and reassuring manner to non-technical clients
- Have a good commercial understanding of the projects they are involved with, allow them to take a pragmatic approach to development
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Exposure to the following will support your application: Programming with C# ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web Forms, LINQ, Entity Framework, Website development (HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS), Web service technologies such as Web API and WCF, SQL Database design and experience of working with Microsoft SQL Server
- Understanding and desire to work within Agile software development practices
- CMS experience especially Umbraco or Sitecore
- Excellent problem solving capabilities
- Ability to demonstrate a strong history of successful projects where you’ve played an instrumental role
